Pregnancy changes something in your body every single week. At Rooted Health, we support you through all of it with gentle, nervous system focused care that looks at the root of how you're feeling, not just where it hurts.

WHY PREGNANT WOMEN CHOOSE
CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Pregnancy changes something in your body every single week. At Rooted Health, we support you through all of it with gentle, nervous system focused care that looks at the root of how you're feeling, not just where it hurts.your center of gravity shifts, hormones relax your ligaments, and your pelvis must accommodate a growing baby. These changes can create imbalances that lead to pain, restricted movement, and challenges during labor.

Prenatal chiropractic care addresses these changes by:

  • Creating space for your baby to grow through proper pelvic balance

  • Reducing common pregnancy discomforts like back pain, sciatica, and round ligament pain

  • Supporting optimal fetal positioning for a smoother birth experience

  • Improving nervous system function to enhance your body's natural adaptability

  • Preparing your pelvis for labor by ensuring balanced, unrestricted movement

Many expecting mothers find that regular chiropractic adjustments help them stay active, sleep better, and approach their birth day with confidence.

HOW WE CARE FOR YOU

Every new patient begins with INSiGHT nervous system scans. They're comfortable, non-invasive, use no radiation, and are safe during pregnancy. They show us how your nervous system is handling stress, so your care plan is built on what we actually see, not guesswork.

Adjustments are gentle, specific, and adapted to each trimester. We'll always explain what we're doing and why,

YOUR FIRST VISIT

  1. We listen. A real conversation about your pregnancy, your history, and your goals.

  2. We scan. Quick, comfortable INSiGHT scans to see how your nervous system is functioning.

  3. We explain. We walk through your results together and talk about what care could look like for you.

CARE DESIGNED FOR PREGNANCY

Every adjustment is modified for pregnancy, so you'll never lie flat on your stomach. We use specially designed pregnancy pillows and side lying positions to keep you and your baby comfortable throughout your visit. Many moms say the pillows are their favorite part!

WHAT CARE LOOKS LIKE

After your first visit, appointments typically take 10 to 15 minutes. We see most prenatal patients at least once a week to help you feel and function your best, and we adjust your care plan as your body changes and your pregnancy progresses.

Trimester By Trimester Care

FIRST TRIMESTER (WEEKS 1 TO 13)

Early pregnancy brings big hormone shifts and your body's first adaptations, often before anyone can tell. Your nervous system is taking on a whole new workload. We focus on gentle, specific adjustments and nervous system support to help your body adapt to these rapid changes, and your first scans give us a baseline to track as you go.

SECOND TRIMESTER (WEEKS 14 TO 27)

As your belly grows, your center of gravity shifts and your pelvis and low back take on more each week. This is a great time to settle into regular care. We focus on pelvic balance and helping your body adapt well as it prepares for the final stretch.

THIRD TRIMESTER (WEEKS 28 TO 40+)

The final weeks ask the most of your body. You're carrying more, moving differently, and preparing for birth. Many moms come in more often during this time, as we focus on pelvic balance, comfort, and helping your nervous system stay calm and regulated as you get closer to meeting your baby.

PREPARING FOR BIRTH

Whether you're planning a hospital birth, a birth center, or a home birth, we want you to feel supported, informed, and confident in your choices. As your due date gets closer, we focus on keeping your pelvis balanced and your nervous system calm and regulated, so your body can do what it was designed to do.Birth preparation is a big part of our conversations at Rooted Health. We'll talk through things like:

Choosing between a hospital, birth center, or home birth
Writing a birth plan that reflects what matters to you
Delayed cord clamping and the golden hour
Skin to skin after delivery
Movement and positions during labor
Questions to bring to your midwife or OB

Our goal isn't to make decisions for you. It's to help you feel informed, so you can walk into birth knowing your options and feeling confident in your plan.
